Penn State offensive guard Vega Ioane visits Eagles ahead of NFL draft

· Yahoo Sports

Penn State All-American offensive guard Vega Ioane visited the Eagles' facility on Monday, as Philadelphia continues evaluating top offensive line prospects ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft. During the NFL combine, Ioane displayed fluid hips, light feet, and elite change of direction to complement his physical style of play. Ioane was a dominant blocker inside for the Nittany Lions, allowing only two pressures and zero sacks last season.

Philadelphia has Pro Bowler Landon Dickerson at left guard and the ever-improving Tyler Steen as the right guard. Dickerson has hinted at retiring early, and recently adjusted his contract to take years off the deal. Ioane plays with intense power and quickness, using 330 pounds of elite force, earning second-team All-America honors from the Walter Camp Football Foundation as an offensive guard. Ioane was selected to the All-Big Ten Second Team in 2024 and to the Honorable Mention Team in 2023. He'll exit State College after playing in 44 games and making 32 starts at Penn State. According to PFF, he allowed zero sacks and three pressures in 310 pass blocking snaps in 2025.
